Contract: Fixed-Term 12-months (Graduate Placement)

Skyeskyns, a dynamic and values-driven business on the Isle of Skye, is seeking a passionate and proactive Sustainable Development Project Officer.
This exciting role offers the chance to make a real impact in helping Skyeskyns deliver on its sustainability goals—both within our current operations and as we move toward a new, environmentally-conscious build. You’ll play a key role in developing and supporting strategies across environmental, social, and economic themes as part of our Net Zero and B-Corp aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyse data to support sustainability planning across areas such as B-Corp certification, Net Zero targets, and process efficiencies.
- Support project implementation across workstreams including governance, community, environment, people, and customers.
- Assist with the development of innovative, sustainable building and production methods.
- Engage with the internal team and external partners to gather insights and feedback.
- Contribute to funding applications by providing research, data and recommendations.
- Help develop professional development resources for the team and identify best practices for sustainable operations.
- Create monitoring and reporting frameworks to track progress across projects.

Qualifications & Eligibility:
- Essential: This post is supported by Highlands & Islands Enterprise. Candidates must have graduated within the last 4 years (minimum HNC; Degree preferred), ideally with no more than 1 year of graduate-level work experience. Must be a Highland area resident for the duration of the contract.
- Desirable: Own transport recommended. Ideal for Skye resident but hybrid working is possible.
