Introducing this new and exciting skincare product, handmade in small batches in Waternish, just down the road from us. It has been developed by Claire who was hard at work for 14 months creating Skye Optimal, The Elixir face serum.
The serum is revitalising, concentrated and weightless, and pairs modern science-led ingredients with Scottish botanical extracts inspired by traditional Scottish medicine.
Claire created this product in reaction to the confusing landscape of products offering either natural or synthetic skincare, she wondered why we couldn't combine the best from both worlds to create an honest, innovative product with truly beneficial results.
The serum contains sustainably foraged Scottish botanicals including Scot's Luck Heather, Meadowsweet (the serum is unscented but meadowsweet does come through when applied), Broom, Silverweed, Eggwrack Seaweed, Minermang (Kombu kelp), Milk Thistle Oil. Claire also uses and distils the water used in the serum from the burn on her croft.
Other key ingredients include:
- 3-0 Ehtyl Ascorbic Acid: a potent stable form of Vitamin C, noted for its skin brightening effects.
- AvenaPlex - Oat Kernal Extract: a powerful lipid complex with ceramides, sterols and phospholipids shown to support the health of the skin's barrier.
- Hyaluronic Acid: show to aid hydration
- SYN-COLL - Palmitoyd Tri-peptide-5: a patent synthetic peptide which has been demonstrated to boost collagen production.
Orders are usually dispatched within 2 working days of receiving your order, except where the item is made to order. In this case, please check the description on the item. We use tracked services for all orders. Tracking information will be sent to you via the courier. International tracking emails usually come through 48 hours after notification of dispatch.
We usually expect UK parcels to arrive 3 to 5 working days from dispatch using a 48-hour delivery service. EU and US orders should take 7 to 14 working days and further afield to within 7 to 21 working days. If you require more information please contact us.
Free shipping to anywhere in the UK for orders of £150 and over.
Shipping is calculated at checkout when you enter the delivery address. We ship worldwide.
EU customers will be offered the option to pay duties & taxes at the point of purchase or to pay a shipping only rate.
Please note that, with a shipping only rate, you will have to pay in-country tax and custom charges on arrival. Although we offer a tracked Express service with DHL, custom checks may delay delivery and unless a duty paid service is available, in-country customs charges will apply. We apologise for any inconvenience caused during custome checks, these are unfortunately outwith our control.

UK customers:
Exchanges and returns can be made within 14 days of receipt of the goods, without affecting your statutory rights. To request a return or exchange, please return the (unworn/unused) product using the returns form provided in your parcel to our Skyeskyns Waternish address. The original postage fee will be deducted from the refund issued, except in instances where the item is faulty, defective or sent in error. Products exchanged are sent out to you free of charge.
