Raasay

INTERIOR INSPIRATION The residents’ lounge, like most of the building, benefits from large windows overlooking the Sound of Raasay and the Cuillins on Skye.  The wooden elements and features are offset by woollen and velvety contemporary Scottish fabrics used across the upholstery and the decorative accessories. In this lounge, in line with the existing textures and sense of comfort, we added a double cappuccino rug to contrast with the blue tweed sofa and a tweed and sheepskin cushion for the light-toned occasional chairs.  A light grey Norse fleece on the floor by the fireplace complemented the look. The five en-suite guest bedrooms are designed in neutral tones, with hints of colours from accessories, using tweed, woven fabrics and wood furniture to add texture.  The large windows in each room also provide a fantastic panoramic backdrop to any stay. In this bedroom, we used the light grey Norse fleece on the small rocking chair by the window (perfect place to unwind and take in the calming views) and the dark grey Norse sheepskin on the floor to act as a bedside rug.
